According to the statistics committee of the Ministry of National Economy, in August Kazakhstan produced 0.374 million tons of steel (0.367 million tons in July), down by 5.2% YoY.
In January-August steel manufacture dropped by 0.5%, to 3.061 million tons.
Flat rolled metal output grew by 7.1%, to 2.017 million tons, with 0.279 million tons produced in August (0.277 million tons in July), up by 6.8% YoY.
Ferroalloys manufacture totaled 1.359 million tons, up by 6.1%, with 0.167 million tons produced in August, up by 13.1%. (Ukrainian metal)
