The de-shadowing of the scrap market will provide for additional revenue of the state budget in the volume of 850-900 million UAH per year.
“There are some 15 thousand scrap procuring centers in Ukraine. And all this business is in the shade. Even considering the decrease of procurement volumes, that’s some 17-18 billion UAH”, Ukrmetallurgprom president Alexander Kalenkov said.
He believes that when the decree on de-shadowing of the metal raw materials market is adopted, payments to the state budget will grow. Metal companies will invest 1 billion UAH into the development of scrap procuring centers, and 25 thousand people, employed in the sphere, will get “white” wages. (Ukrainian metal)
