Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has started construction works within the project to modernize hydraulic roll screwdowns of edging stands and horizontal stands of the mill-2000 in the sheet-rolling shop No. 2.
Investments in the project total 1 billion rubles.
At present the general contractor is constructing foundation pits for the pump stations and prepares to assemble machinery and pipelines.
The CherMK mill-2000 is one of the most efficient hot-rolling mills in Russia. It produces over 6 million tons of rolled metal per year. (Ukrainian metal)
