Uralelectromed has assembled a new smoke pipe with the height of 14-storey building.
It is installed at the gas-purifying unit, were gases from anode furnace, before reaching air, are 99.8% purified.
The pipe has replaced the previous one that has served the company for 16 years.
The new structure weighs over 35 tons and is 43 meters high.
Both sides of the pipe have been covered to protect it from corrosion. This will prolong its service life by 30%, to 25 years. (Ukrainian metal)
