In January-March Zabaykalye region produced 290.3 tons of tungsten concentrate, down by 45.7% YoY.

The decrease has to do with the drop of output volumes at Novoorlovsky Mining and Processing Works.

Two companies are developing tungsten deposits in the region – Novoorlovsky GOK and Bom-Gorkhonsky Mine LLC.

Novoorlovsky GOK develops and processes tungsten ore of the Spokoyninsky deposits. Annually the company yields some 96% of the total tungsten concentrate output.

Bom-Gorkhonsky Mine develops the tungsten deposits of the same name and provides for some 4% of the total output.

Last year the region yielded 1436.9 tons of tungsten concentrate. (Ukrainian metal)
