Russian aluminum giant UC Rusal plans to launch $216-million production at the world’s largest bauxite field Dian-Dian in Guinea at the end of April, CEO Vladislav Solovyov declared on April 5.
“We will launch the 3-million ton mine until the end of April. We have plans to expand capacity to 5 million tons, but it depends on infrastructure capabilities, including the capacity of the field’s railroad. We will work on that,” he said.
