Vorkutaugol has started assembling a multi-functional safety system at the Vorkutinskaya, Zapolyarnaya, Komsomolskaya and Vorgashorskaya mines.
In December 2017 the mines started receiving the Strata system components, produced in Russia, Kazakhstan, USA and South Africa. In January Alpha-Safety specialists arrived to implement the system.
When the system is launched in July, its three main options will be available: constant monitoring of air-gas situation, positioning of each miner with the precision of up to 20 meters, and the underground wireless network.
Thus, Vorkutaugol will be the first company in Russia to have mines completely equipped with the Strata system. (Ukrainian metal)
