In 2017 Mechel-Materials increased metal slag processing by 32% YoY, to 5 million tons.
50% of the processed slag originated in 2017, the rest is the previously accumulated wastes.
Of this slag Mechel-Materials produces various construction products and supplies them all over Russia.
Over 1 million tons were supplied outside the Chelyabinsk region, where the company is situated. (Ukrainian metal)
