In December 2017 Ukraine produced 1.87 million tons of pig iron, 1.88 million tons of steel and 1.7 million tons of rolled metal, all up by 3%, 0.4% and 7% MoM respectively.
“Output increase in December 2017 was mostly thanks to Mariupol Iron and Steel Works and Zaporizhstal”, Ukrmetallurgprom reported.
In January-December 2017 Ukraine produced 20 million tons of pig iron, 21.3 million tons of steel and 18.4 million tons of rolled metal, all down by 15%, 12% and 14% YoY respectively.
Metal companies, situated on Ukraine-controlled territory, produced 19.56 million tons of pig iron, 20.86 million tons of steel and 18 million tons of rolled metal, down by 1%, 0.2% and 1.5% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
