In January-October Severniy Mining and Processing Works sold 1.5 million tons of high iron content pellets to metal companies of Ukraine and Europe.
The high-quality pellets have been produced following the experiments of using concentrate from two mining and processing works – Severniy and Ingulets. As the result iron content increased from 63.8% to 65%.
“The 65% Fe content pellets is another way to enter new sales markets. To keep the high quality of the products and increase output we constantly develop technologies and carry out repairs. Earlier this year we have repaired the Lurgi 278A pelletizing machine, and in November started the repairs of another – Lurgi 552A”, the company CEO Pavel Timoshenko said. (Ukrainian metal)
