64 miners from the once powerful and successful Mine named after Zasyadko in Donetsk have been given packets of food as a bonus for joining the Donetsk Republic movement.

“The mine is in a difficult situation now. But the employees in such a complex time were not afraid to support the Donetsk People’s Republic (a terrorist organization created and supported by Russia – editor) and started the social movement. That is why it was decided to provide a humanitarian aid to them”, the Donetsk Republic movement secretary Hennady Mishko said.

The packet features sugar, candies, tea, coffee, biscuits, condensed milk, sunflower oil, canned food and cereals.

Before the occupation of Donbass by the pro-Russia militants the Mine named after Zasyadko boasted one of the highest salary levels in Ukraine (around $1.5 thousand). At the same time the labor conditions were one of the most dangerous. During the independence years some 268 miners perished there, and 34 in the occupation period. (Ukrainian metal)
