The mining works of Polyus at the Natalka deposits in Magadan region will make Russia the second gold manufacturer in the world after China.
“The largest gold-mining enterprise in Russian and one of the largest in the world has been commissioned in Magadan region. Its capacity will be 200 million tons of ore per year, and gold output – 13 tons. This will increase Russian gold output by 5%”, the company CEO Pavel Grachev announced.
Earlier the project capacity was estimated at 10.1 million tons of ore and 420-470 thousand ounces of gold per year. (Ukrainian metal)
