The US Ministry of Trade has approved of the size of preliminary antidumping duties on wire rod from Russia, Belarus and UAE.
Duty for Russian wire rod will reach 436.8-756.93%, which is a record in American antidumping investigations on steel market for the past several years.
Belarus Iron and Steel Works was hit with the duty of 280.02%, while UAE suppliers – 84.1%.
According to statistics, in 2016 USA imported 93.7 thousand tons of wire rod from Russia and 32.1 thousand tons form Belarus.
In January-July 2017 imports totaled 52.5 thousand tons and 25.2 thousand tons respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
