In January-August Ukraine imported $54.330 million worth of copper and copper wares, up by 50.9% YoY.
According to the State Fiscal Service, copper exports went up by 72.3% YoY, to $81.779 million. In August copper exports totaled $8.959 million, and imports – $6.882 million.
Nickel and wares imports dropped by 13.8%, to $50.664 million ($5.646 million in August), while those of aluminum grew by 34.3%, to $238.115 million ($30.582 million). Tin exports increased by 59.3%, to $2.874 million ($228 thousand), lead – 2-fold, to $4.907 million ($1.321 million), zinc and wares – by 73.2%, to $47.452 million ($6.991 million).
Aluminum exports increased by 36.4%, to $83.215 million ($12.077 million in August), nickel – by 7.5%, to $3.988 million ($0.282 million), lead – by 54.7%, to $29.953 million ($2.405 million). Zinc exports in 8 months totaled $52 thousand ($2 thousand) up from $10 thousand in January-August 2016. Tin exports grew from $2 thousand to $163 thousand ($14 thousand in August). (Ukrainian metal)
