Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine is operating 2 blast furnaces but is preparing the third one for operation.
According to the company statement, the BF No. 1M was blown on July 22, and it was the only BF to produce pig iron in July. BF No. 9 was blown on July 23, and started producing pig iron in August.
Blast furnace No. 12 was blown on August 5.
On August 1-6 blast furnaces No. 1M and 9 produced 15.8 thousand tons of pig iron. At the same time BF9 is being prepared to be switched to the pulverized coal fuel.
In the second half of July the works produced 33.5 thousand tons of sinter, 9 thousand tons of pig iron, 5.1 thousand tons of steel and rolled 642 tons of ball billets with the 40 mm diameter.
As of August 7 four sintering machined (Nos. 7, 8, 11 and 12) were operating in the sintering shop, with one stopped for repairs (No. 10) and one in reserve (No. 9). On August 1-6 they produced 25.9 thousand tons of sinter. (Ukrainian metal)
