The main steel manufacturers now are in the Asian region, with 5 in China, 2 in Japan, and 1 each in South Korea and India. The leader is ArcelorMittal (Luxembourg) with 95.45 million tons of steel produced in 2016.
Russian companies were able to reach top-50. In particular NLMK is on 16th position with 16.64 million tons, followed by Evraz (28, 13.53 million tons), MMK (29, 12.54 million tons) and Severstal (31, 11.63 million tons). (Ukrainian metal)
