Severstal has started repairs of the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works coking battery No. 4.
The total cost of the investment project is 6 billion rubles.
The battery has been working for almost 59 years without repairs, which is a world record.
The battery was shut down on May 2. In 18 months it will be disassembled, and a new coking battery will be constructed.
This year 35% of the investments will be spent on repairs. (Ukrainian metal)
