The Security Service of Ukraine has found no basis to start criminal investigation as to the shut down of Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine according to the article 113 of the Criminal Codex of Ukraine (diversion).
The matter was raised following the statement of a people’s deputy that the shut down was a criminal violation to result in weakening of the state and provoke mass strikes. Some other accusations are that the Industrial Union of Donbass, owner of DMK, is a part of the Russian EvrazHolding. (Ukrainian metal)
