In January-October Russia exported 69 thousand tons of stainless steel scrap and waste valued at $68 million, up by 9.4% but down by 5.3% YoY respectively.
8% nickel-containing scrap accounts for 64% of the total scrap exports.
In October Russia exported 10.4 thousand tons of this scrap, up 2-fold MoM.
Some 57% of exports went to the Netherlands, up by 13.4% YoY. In October the average price of scrap for the Netherlands was $1000 per ton. With higher nickel-contains – $1130 per ton.
Poland occupied the second position (39.2%, down by 21.3% YoY) with October prices at $813 and $792 per ton.
Germany came third with 13.6% and $1038 and $1187 per ton respectively.
The export of this type of scrap exceeds the total corrosion-resistant steel exports 7-fold. (Ukrainian metal)
