Zaporizhstal has finished assembling the Mammoet crane with the lifting capacity of 1600 tons.
According to the company statement, its height is 143 meters, which almost equals the height of the Pyramid of Khafre in Egypt. The crane would be used in the blast furnace No. 3 overhaul.
“The crane will allow us to repair the blast furnace in just 150 days. Investments in the overhaul total 1.5 billion UAH”, the statement reads.
The crane assembly started in late September. The total weight of the crane metal structure is around 2 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
