The European Union initiated an antidumping probe against supplies of hot-rolled steel from Russia, Brazil, Iran, Serbia and Ukraine.
“The European Commission (EC) has received a complaint pursuant to Article 5 of Council Regulation that Russia and Ukraine are being dumped and are causing material injury to the Union industry”, the EC said.
The probe will cover flat-rolled products of iron, non-alloy steel or other alloy steel.
Earlier, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation in respect of cold-rolled steel from Russia and China. Deliveries from Russia, China and Ukraine make up about 60% of the total steel imports to the European Union. (TASS/Ukrainian metal)
