In January-February Ukraine imported 770.98 thousand tons of aluminum ores and concentrate worth $32.22 million, up by 8.3% and by 7.9% YoY respectively.
The major suppliers of aluminum ores to Ukraine were Guinea (62.83%), Guyana (28.14%) and Brazil (9.02%).
During the first two months of 2016 Ukraine didn’t export these products.
In 2015 Ukraine increased aluminum ores and concentrate imports by 12.7% YoY, to 4338.46 thousand tons worth $181.07 million, up by 14.8% YoY. The largest suppliers were Guinea (62.96%) and Guyana (30.37%).
Last year Ukraine exported 463 tons of aluminum ore worth $79 thousand, down by 91.9% and 92.6% YoY respectively. Most of the exports went to Russia (64.1%), Germany (12.82%) and the Netherlands (8.97%). (Ukrainian Metal)
