On January 4, Lvivugol Velikomostovskaya mine workers refused to go under the earth until their salary debts were cleared.
At the moment the salary debts at Lvivugol exceed 70 million UAH. Stepnaya miners from Chervonograd are on strike as well.
Miners unions hoped the state would give 480 million to clear debts and develop the mines. But the state budget has not provided money for that. At the same time the state has given several million UAH for restructuring or closing of the mines. (Ukrainian metal)
