In January-May Ukraine produced 8 million tons of finished steel, 9.24 million tons of crude steel and 8.36 million tons of pig iron, all down by 29.7%, 28.4% and 30.4% YoY respectively.
Metallurgical coke output went down by 40.6% YoY to 4.25 million tons, while steel pipe production decreased by 40.1% to 368,200 tons.
In May Ukraine produced 2.16 million tons of crude steel, 1.82 million tons of finished steel products and 1.93 million tons of pig iron. (Ukrainian Metal)
