Interpipe to shutdown Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsk Pipe open-hearth furnace

Interpipe, one of the leading steel pipe producers in Eastern and Central Europe, plans to close Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsk Pipe open-hearth furnace capacities in Q4 2012 while its output will be fully indemnified with Dneprostal electric furnace steel production.
Project capacity for Dneprostal in 2012 is estimated at 700,000 tons of assembled steel, while Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsk Pipe furnace’output in 2011 saw 525,000 tons of steel. (Phoenix Capital)
