In January Ukraine’s steel pipe imports increased by 4.8% compared to December 2010 and were up by 190% compared to January 2010, rising to 10,020 tons valued at $12.05 million.
Specifically, in January Ukraine imported 6,950 tons of seamless pipes, up by 6% MoM, of which 5,970 tons were supplied from Russia.
Ukraine’s imports of steel pipes of more than 406.4 mm outside diameter amounted to 2,480 tons in January, up by 118% MoM, of which 2,420 tons were imported from Russia. In addition, in January Ukraine imported 590 tons of other tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, down by 68% MoM, of which 170 tons were shipped from Italy. (SteelOrbis)
