In January Ukraine’s exports of ferroalloys registered a decrease of 3.4% compared to December 2010,  falling to 82,290 tons valued at $89.64 million. Meanwhile, compared to January 2010 the country ferroalloy exports went down by 15.5%.

In January Ukraine’s ferrosilicomanganese exports decreased by 2.1% to 57,670 tons, its ferromanganese exports went down by 23.4% to 6,700 tons, while its ferrosilicon exports rose by 68% to 9,860 tons.

Meanwhile, in the first month of 2011, Ukraine imported 10,840 tons of ferroalloys, down by 11.2% compared to January 2010 and down 25.4% compared to December 2010.
In January the country imports of ferrosilicomanganese decreased by 25.3% to 6,270 tons, its imports of ferromanganese went down by 45.3% to 580 tons, while its imports of ferrosilicon decreased by 55% to 180 tons. (SteelOrbis)
