OJSC Interpipe Nyzhniodniprovsky pipe rolling plant, producing wheels under the KLW brand, has successfully passed a complex preliminary audit by SNCB, the operator of the Belgian Railways.
Apart from SNCB, the audit group consisted of Bombardier Transportation.
The main task of the audit was to define the level correspondence of production processes and wheel goods to international requirements and standards and estimate the readiness of the enterprise to supply solid rolled wheels of the required quality to the Belgian Railways.
The auditors praised the system of quality management at the plant, the efficiency of business processes, personnel competence and customer centricity.
Interpipe plant produces seamless pipes with a diameter of 152 to 530 mm and railway wheels under the KLW brand. Its production capacity exceeds 850,000 tons a year. (SteelGuru)
