The state enterprise “Skhidnyi Mining and Processing Plant” continues to work on optimizing expenses, reorganizing the structure of the enterprise and preparing it for corporatization.
Thus, over the past four months, as a result of optimization, increasing the transparency and competitiveness of procurement, SkhidGOK managed to save over 32 million hryvnias – this is the difference between the amounts of actually concluded contracts and the previous applications of suppliers.
For individual items, the savings amount to over 4 million hryvnias. Thus, the enterprise concluded a contract for the purchase of 500 tons of nitric acid at a price 25% lower than in the previous application and 10% lower than the contracts of previous years. The corresponding results were achieved by attracting a larger number of participants, including manufacturers and their official representatives.
In addition, the company continues to optimize costs and perform operational tasks without involving third-party organizations. For this purpose, it is planned to purchase equipment and fill job vacancies, which will allow SkhidGOK to independently carry out its statutory activities, and the saved funds can be additionally directed to increase the production of uranium oxide concentrate.
