Azerbaijan: Anglo Asian Mining gold output up in H1 2026

British mining company Anglo Asian Mining (AAM), developing gold deposits in Azerbaijan, produced 12,329 thousand ounces of gold in the first half of 2026.

This figure exceeded the same period last year by 1.8%.

During the reporting period, silver production increased by 48.9%, reaching 92,855 thousand ounces, while copper production increased 7.4-fold, reaching 8,840 tons.

In January to June, AAM sold 7,126 thousand ounces of gold bars on global markets, a 27.1% decrease. The average selling price increased to $4,664 per ounce, compared to $3,077 per ounce a year earlier.

Copper concentrate sales during the reporting period amounted to 58,577 thousand tons, 6.4 times higher than in the first half of 2025. Sales revenue reached $125.9 million, up 11.3-fold. Of the total volume, 26,882 thousand tons, valued at $54.5 million, were produced at the Gadabay mine, and 31,695 thousand tons, valued at $71.4 million, were produced at the Demirli mine.

As of June 30, the company’s precious metals holdings had a market value of $69.8 million.

AAM’s debt was estimated at $12.2 million, and its net cash was $57.6 million. (Report)
