In 2025, Ukraine decreased exports of semi-finished carbon steel products by 26.4% YoY, to 1.388 million tons.
According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms exports have decreased by 28.9%, to $659.62 million.
The main customers were Bulgaria (32.73% in monetary terms), Poland (22.13%) and Turkiye (14.88%).
Last year, Ukraine imported 88.923 thousand tons of semi-finished steel products valued at $65.989 million, mostly from Pman (37.42%), Germany (22.21%) and the Czech Republic (16.71%), while in 2024 imports amounted to 306 tons valued at $278 thousand.
