On February 25, the construction of a new lime plant was officially launched in Jizzakh region as part of an investment project for the development of the Yoshlik-I deposit.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by AGMK leadership, representatives of the Jizzakh regional administration, official delegates from the contracting organization and industry veterans.
The new plant will serve as a key supplier of reagents for technological processes at four copper smelters, a zinc plant and mining operations in Angren, Chodak and Khandiza.
With a production capacity of 2,200 tons per day, the plant is expected to produce 737,000 tons of lime annually. Its launch will also create 323 new jobs in the region. (UzDaily)
