The Ukrainian legislation quite quickly and efficiently applies sanctions on anyone cooperating with the enemy. And Neqsol Holding from Azerbaijan, which has bought the United Mining and Chemical Company is no exception, the interim chairwoman of the State Property Fund Ivanna Smachylo has said.
She said that anyone taking part in auctions and winning was checked by the law enforcers to see if they were affected by any limitations.
“Only after getting a positive response do we conclude an agreement. I believe in such a case any private business understands the consequences of such cooperation,” she added.
Smachylo says Ukraine’s titanium reserves are not large, and the enterprise demands investments in the already existing capacities.
She believes the country will retain the control over the titanium industry. Because irrespective of who becomes the new owner, the state has control over conditions set for them. And this is investment, maintaining the company profile of operations, limitation of cooperation with the enemy, retaining jobs, etc. (Ukrainian metal)
