Kazakhmys Progress LLC in Balkhash has produced grade ST-1 technical selenium.
The first industrial batch was made using the unique method of vacuum distillation.
The new technique increased added value of selenium from 30% to 97% of the global market price.
The first batch comprised 100 tons. Selenium contents were 99.5%. (Ukrainian metal)
