Metinvest has suspended operation of its vertical mine No. 3 near Pokrovsk.
Other group assets in Pokrovsk, including two more mines, continue operating. These mines are situated on a safer distance from the combat line.
The three mines are the onsly mines in Ukraine yielding coking coal, a key resource for the metal industry.
Metinvest says the situation is under its constant monitoring and the safety of employees remains a priority. (Ukrainian metal)
