Kametstal is modernizing the compressed air system in the oxygen-compressor shop to improve working efficiency and decrease energy usage.
The machinery modernization project is being carried out at the compressed air manufacturing site. This air is used both for the operation of the metal divisions of the plant and for the manufacture of oxygen for the company needs.
Kametstal will replace the outdated K-1500 compressor with the new SM6100 machine produced by Hanwha Power Systems.
The old compressor, operating since 1978, has already been disassembled, and the company has started assembling the new machine.
With its help, Kametstal will decrease electricity usage in compressed air production at least by 22%. (Ukrainian metal)
