The Cabinet of Ministers has added the Nikopol Works of Titanium Alloys Seamless Pipes (VSMPO Titan Ukraina) to the list of big privatization objects.
The works was confiscated from the Russian oligarch Mikhail Shelkov.
This is the second privatization of the asset.
The enterprise was created on the basis of a Nikopol Pipe Plant shop. Its owner was a Sweden citizen Carl Edblum, but in 2005, his share was transferred to VSMPO-Avisma.
In early 2023, the court recovered Shelkov’s assets (VSMPO Titan Ukraine, Demurinskiy Mining and Processing Works, etc.) in favor of the state, and the government transferred them to the State Property Fund for privatization.
The then-chairman of the fund Rustem Umerov said that VSMPO Titan Ukraina could produce more than 500 tons of seamless titanium pipes per year. (Ukrainian metal)
