Ukraine: InGOK stands idle due to high electricity prices

Ingulets Mining and Processing Works is not operating due to high electricity prices.

“With the current prices for electricity I don’t understand how ferroalloy plants can operate. This is also a problem for us. For example, InGOK hasn’t been operating for several months because of high logistics and electricity prices,” Metinvest CEO Yuriy Ryzhenkov said.

InGOK specializes in extraction and processing of ferruginous quartzites of the Ingulets deposit. It also produces iron ore concentrate. The company capacity is 14 million tons of concentrate per year. (Ukrainian metal)
