Belgrade witnessed mass protests against construction of a lithium mine in Serbia.
Some 30 thousand protesters marched through the city having temporarily blocked the central train station and one of the highways.
They protest against the launch of the mine the development of which has been granted to Rio Tinto. Ecologists believe that lithium extraction will thin out ground waters and endanger local population. (Ukrainian metal)
