Ukraine: Motronovskiy GOK sells titanium deposit license

Motronovskiy Mining and Processing Works, a part of Group DF, has sold its rights to use the Malyshevskoye zirconium-rutile-ilmenite sands deposit in Dniepropetrovsk region.

The license dated December 31, 2004 had to be cancelled by the decision of the Council of the National Security and Defence under a case against Dmitry Firtash, but a court prohibited doing it.

The enterprise reported that on June 25, a day after the president issued a sanctions order, it concluded an agreement to sell the right to operate at the deposit to Tiberus Plus LLC.

Motronovskiy GOK is under construction. Its capacity is estimated at 120 thousand tons of ilmenite concentrate, 14 thousand tons of zirconium concentrate and 20 thousand tons of rutile ilmenite per year. (Ukrainian metal)
