Kazakhstan: aluminum exports up in January-April 2024

In January-April, aluminum exports grew 4.7-fold YoY, from 16,000 to 75,400 tons, the Industry and Construction Ministry reported.

Kazakhstan’s exports increased, since aluminum demand in Azerbaijan grew 8-fold, from 5,500 to 43,100 tons, 10.5-fold in Uzbekistan, from 200 tons to 2,100 tons, and due to the expansion of sales geography to countries such as Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy and Poland.

The country’s only primary aluminum manufacturer is Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant in Pavlodar. (Kazinform)
