During his trip to China, Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov has discussed lithium extraction and construction of lithium carbonate manufacture with the management of Zhicun Lithium.
The company is one of the major manufacturers of lithium products in China. The company is actively developing the Central Asian direction. In July 2023, it launched the first stage of the lithium carbonate plant with the capacity of 60 thousand tons per year in the Xinjiang province and until 2025 intended to increase it to 120 thousand tons.
Zhicun Lithium also plans to construct two more lines.
In April, the company discussed joint ventures with Kazakh Invest. (Ukrainian metal)
