Ukraine: operation of important Russian metal plant suspended by intelligence service

Ukrainian UAVs have hit power stations in the Belgorod region of Russia, resulting in the Oskol Electrometallurgical Works suspending operation.

According to sources in Ukrainian Intelligence Service, the attack was made on July 1. It was a joint operation of the Defence Intelligence and the Foreign Intelligence Service.

Oskol Works is the only full-cycle metal enterprise in Russia.

“As a result of the attack on two power stations, all the electric arc furnaces were shut down and metal in them solidified. It will take several months to relaunch them,” the intelligence service reported.

The plant produces high-quality steel for the Russian military machine. (Ukrainian metal)
