In January-May, Ukraine increased ferrous metals scrap export by 32.2% YoY, to 102.366 thousand tons.
According to the State Customs Service, revenue grew by 42.7%, to $32.872 million.
In May Ukraine exported 14.952 thousand tons of scrap, in April – 26.153 thousand tons, in March – 20.907 thousand tons, in February – 23.194 thousand tons and in January – 17.160 thousand tons.
The main export market was Poland (85.33% in monetary terms), followed by Greece (10.61%) and Germany (3.92%).
Over 5 months, Ukraine imported 424 tons of scrap for $217 thousand: from Slovakia (48.61% in monetary terns), Turkiye (32.87%) and Poland (9.26%), while last year – 344 tons for $138 thousand. (Ukrainian metal)
