Russian occupiers intend to construct an analogue of the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works until 2030.
“We plan to build a metal plant in Mariupol – from scratch. It will produce metal and steel. This will be an analogue, so to say, of the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works. We are now signing investment agreements,” the so-called prime minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic, terrorist organization created and supported by Russia, Yevgeniy Solntsev said.
This has already made Mariupol citizens laugh. In social networks they have started reminding the occupational authorities of their promises to make a resort city of Mariupol and a technical part instead of the destroyed Azovstal. The citizens are sure that this is another unrealizable project of Russian officials who just want to fill their purses.
The citizens even joke that after the new plant, a spaceport will be built in the city until 2050.
During the Russian full-scale invasion Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works was seriously damaged and Azovstal completely destroyed. (Ukrainian metal)
