ArcelorMittal has commissioned a line to produce heat-strengthened rails with the length of 120 meters at the Dabrowa Gornica plant.
The new products comply with the European and American standards.
ArcelorMittal has been mulling the construction of such a line in Poland since 2012. Officially it started in 2018. In 2022, the company signed a contract with Danieli for the modernization of the rail mill.
The cost of the project was around 200 million zloty ($49.6 million). (Ukrainian metal)
