In July, Ukraine exported 119.6 thousand tons of pig iron to the USA, up by 40.2% MoM and 4.7-fold YoY.
In January-July, pig iron exports totaled 748.4 thousand tons, up 2.3-fold YoY.
But compared with the pre-war 2021, exports decreased by 32.5%.
In January, Ukraine exported 116.9 thousand tons of pig iron to the USA, in February – 156 thousand tons and in May – 123.95 thousand tons.
The March result was the highest since September 2021, when Ukraine exported 185.6 thousand tons.
In 2022, average monthly exports totaled 45.85 thousand tons, in 2023 – 106.9 thousand tons and in 2021 – 140.2 thousand tons.
In January-July, Ukraine exported 906.4 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 16.6% YoY. In July, exports fell by 37% MoM and by 25.4% YoY, to 106.7 thousand tons.
USA is the largest consumer of Ukrainian pig iron, accounting for 82.6%, with 17.4% falling on the EU. (Ukrainian metal)
