Uzbekistan intends to triple manufacture of uranium, to 10 thousand tons, until 2030.
“All the conditions will be made to increase copper output 3.5-fold, to 500 thousand tons, gold – 1.5-fold, to 155 tons, and silver – 3-fold, to 500 tons,” president Shavkat Mirziyoev has said.
Uranium reserves will be increased from 67 thousand tons to 100 thousand tons thanks to 11 projects at Navoiuran valued at $550 million.
Uzbekistan will also start producing lithium and graphite. In particular, Tashkent region will produce 8 thousand tons of lithium and Bukhara – 50 thousand tons of graphite per year. (Ukrainian metal)
