Metinvest will provide over 10 mobile shelters for Ukrainian defenders.
3 protective constructions were sent to the brigade fighting off constant enemy attacks near Avdiivka.
“These mobile dugouts can be used as shelters, providing protection against shelling,” Metinvest COO Alexander Mironenko has said.
The shelters are made by various group enterprises. Each structure is 6 meters long and has a diameter of over 2 meters. They can be easily disassembled and transported.
It takes around 400 hours to produce one shelter.
“Our soldiers are satisfied with these structures. First of all, such dugouts speed up construction of shelters on the battlefield. Second, they are reliable, as they can withstand even the hit of a 155mm shell. Third, they are comfortable. They can accommodate around 30 people,” Ukrainian defender Anatoliy Zinchenko has said.
“We are already using two such shelters in the Avdiivka area. And now we have received three more. We also know that Metinvest is building six more for our brigade. This will not cover the whole site of the front that we are holding, but will protect our men and help us fulfill out task,” he added.
So far, 70 shelters have been produced. (Ukrainian metal)
