Since the start of the Russian invasion, the Metinvest Group has channeled over 2.8 billion UAH to strengthen the country defence and support its employees and peaceful Ukrainians, including 1.5 billion UAH for the Army under the Steel Front Initiative of Rinat Akhmetov.
“Metinvest makes everything possible to bring Ukraine’s victory closer. Our enterprises, as far as possible in the military conditions, continue manufacturing products for the defence and restoring infrastructure, keeping jobs and paying taxes,” the group CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov has said.
In particular, in December 2022, Kametstal resumed pig iron, steel and rolled metal manufacture after the shutdown in November 2022 following the Russian terrorist missile attack on Ukrainian energy industry.
Metinvest enterprises have provided the Army with 69 special mobile shelters to strengthen trenches, as well as 25 thousand helmets and 150 thousand bulletproof vests, most of which are made in Ukraine. 80 thousand Czech hedgehogs, as well as spiked chains have been made of Metinvest metal.
Under the Saving Life initiative, more than 4 thousand tons of foodstuffs and the most important products have been delivered. 350 thousand Ukrainians received aid. (Ukrainian metal)
